Customer Service Was Superior-Not a luxury resort

Upon arriving at the property I was dissapointed in the maintence of the property. The buildings were old and needed refreshed. The accomodations were however comfortable but not resort type quality. The beach was amazing and did have a veiw of the ocean. The customer service exceeded any vacation resort I have ever visited. The food was suprisingly excellent and they went the extra mile to provide for our needs. The gym was crowded and did not have updated equipment. The tennis courts were in good condition and readily available. A fresh coat of paint and some updated would do this resort a world of good. I would return possibly due to the beach location and the customer service and the food quality.

I have stayed in Colony Resort many times since I was a child, but had not for several years. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for $900/day. It was old and run down. Poorly decorated - sparce - more like a budget motel. "Kitchen" was pathetic - no place to even put down a slice of bread to make a sandwich. Dining was very expensive for average quality. No casual dining for a reasonable price. Much better places on the island! Beach is great!

We came down to longboat key for a wedding/birthday party.We couldnt have stayed in a finer resort.Your staff from one end of the spectrum to the other couldnt have been any finer.We were truely impressed with all our meals(kitchen staff and chef are most impressive.)Your staff of top quality people in all your services you offerd us was outstanding.We enjoyed so much,keep up the excellent work.Will definitely stay again if oppurtunity puts us back in the area.
