Inn of Chicago-Magnificent Mile

We had a great time in Chicago! The hotel was very nice. People at the desk were friendly. Room was clean, bed comfortable. They charged extra to have a refrigerator in the room. It was only $10.00 more. I thought they should have included it. There was no restaurant in the hotel, so no room service. There were plenty of places to eat that were close by, or where you could buy cold food and bring food to your room. The location of the hotel was perfect. The price was right.

Wow. Overpriced and Poor quality!

I was charged about *** a night for my room in this hotel. We had to wait 1/2 hr. at check in, because our room was not ready, but we didn't even get there until 7pm! There were panhandlers on the corner outside begging for dollars and the doorman didn't seem to care. The carpet was wet, the floors had sheetrock dust on them (in our room). You had to climb over the toilet to close the door to the bathroom and can't sit there because the sink is in the way. Use the lobby facilities. I strongly recommend against booking a room here.

The location of this hotel was perfect for getting around down town Chicago. Visitors are able to walk to Navy Pier and are 1 block from Michigan Avenue. Public transportation and the free trolleys are also very conveniently located to this hotel. The hotel did not have continental breakfast, but did have a dunkin donuts right across the street. The room was very small, but the location outweighed the size of the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on how to get around the city and places to visit while in the city. We arrived earlier than check in and we were able to check into our room without problems or waiting.

Not exactly a value for the dollar

The rooms are neat & clean but small. Bathroom is so small 2 people can not function normally in it at the same time. Small elevators that are slow not uncommon to wait 10 minutes to get to your room. I would not say this hotel is a bargain even though the rates are a tad bit lower than the nearest competior. No parking you must park 1/2 block away at $42. a day . OUTRAGEOUS

Rooms and cleanliness

The rooms were smaller than expected. The bathroom was smaller than expected, and the bathroom sink was so small I had to put the toilet seat cover down in order to put some toiletry articles out to shave, brush teeth and apply deoderant. Towels were clean and some had worn out spots through them. The shower had mold in the corners (we had no bath tub), I used hand towels to stand on while in the shower.
