Better than Expected!

After reading many negative reviews of this hotel, I was skeptical about staying there, but it turned out alright! The rooms were clean, decent size & the beds were comfy. The only complaint about the room was the shower - getting a warm one was about a 50/50 shot unless you showered between 8a-5p it seemed. Other than that, it was great! It was in a good location for our needs. Yes, there were some bums around the area, but what else do you expect in a downtown area? They're harmless. The Hazelwood cafe was good - ate there every day, sometimes twice a day. Just wish they would've had another restaurant on premises to give you variety. There aren't many quick eats in the vicinity that you can walk to, except for Little Italy, of course. The fitness room could use some renovation & some more equipment, but it's okay for a quick cardio workout. The staff was very friendly, the price was reasonable, and I would stay there again. If you're not picky or high-maintenance, this hotel will definitely serve your needs.

POOR laundry facilities. Night clerk would not use pass key when our 7 yr old deadbolted door and did not respond. He was ill and took 10min to awaken. Had to threaten to call police. Notified Gen Mgr next day with no response.

Cheap amenities, very late services, always got the wrong orders in room service food, did not clean rooms well, charged $* per night but service and amenities were cheaper than most cheap motels. Rude staff - did not even help me (am 8months pregnant!)

The hotel's service was extremly slow. It took me 20 min to check in and I was the only one there. I had a problem with my key and the front desk took an obscene amount of time to correct it. There needs to be more desk clerks available. We also asked about the areas nightlife and where the nearest grocery store was and no one was helpful. The fitness center was inadequate for an advid fitness guest. The room was nice. The employees were extremly nice and friendly!!!! The airport shuttle was great as well. It was an average stay.
