Not Up to Holiday Inn Standards

We checked in, got to our room, and only one key out of three worked. The room, which was an "upgrade", was smaller than we anticipated, had no refrigerator, no microwave, and no luggage rack (we had to put our suitcase on the floor). Unlike other Holiday Inns, there was no formal restaurant and no bar...merely a fast food type area with beer and wine and limited seating...it was smaller than the breakfast area of any of the Holiday Inn Express locations at which we have stayed. A partner of ours, who also checked in when we did, found the room they gave her reeking with cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room.
The Staff was friendly and considerate. However, we are Gold Priority Members which means that we stay in Holiday Inns frequently and have past experiences upon which to base this review. This was one of our worst experiences...not "the" worst but definitely not "the" best. There are other Holiday Inns nearby. We suggest you explore them. We have not checked them out ourselves, but we will not return to this one, nor will we suggest it to business associates, friends, and family.

I paid $20 extra for breakfast for each day stay. The food was terrible, services bad and We were treated badly
great place! I'd definitely stay again!

I stayed here for one night after staying in a 4 star hotel here for business and really thought this hotel was better. The room wasn't giant but was very nice- newly redone and had beautiful marble tops on bureaus, nightstand and bathroom, and great curtains, carpet and upholstery. The bed was very comfortable and they offer a selection of 4 types of pillows! a nice touch. They also offer internet access for free (the 4 star place charged $13 a day) as well as a free shuttle to the airport. They helped me with sending a package, directions, and a problem I had with power to my computer - the maintenance person was there within 5 minutes and turned out I hadn't turned on the switch! They all could not have been nicer or more helpful. I would definitely come back.

Not right in the heart of downtown, but everything is easily assessible. 4 blocks to Trolley station, 2 blocks to bus stop and Seaport Village and Gaslamp were both walkable. The shuttle service from hotel was very accomodating.
The hotel was under renovation, but we were not disturbed by construction. The bed was VERY comfortable. It would have been nice to have a complimentary continental breakfast (free coffee in the lobby would have been nice). Overall, the breakfast grill was good and the price was reasonable. The pool did not look inviting, and did not appear to ever be in the sun.
