Not what I expected

I was very disappointed. This hotel needs a lot of updating. The beds were clean and comfortable, but the rest of the room felt dirty, maybe because it is an older hotel. My parents said it used to be the Red Lion. I've stayed at other Doubletrees before, and they are usually nice hotels. The rate is also a Doubletree rate, but does not match what you expect of a usual Doubletree.
Be Prepared to Cart Around Your Own Luggage

I arrived at this hotel and had to park my car, check in, go back to get my own luggage and take it up myself to my room, even though i was paying $* a night. When I asked why there were no bellhops on duty, I was told they didnt have them. Then I looked around and noticed that other people checking in were carting their luggage around as well. I spoke to the manager who said he would comp me dinner which he didn't.
A very disappointing experience...not what I am used to from a Hilton.

It definitely looks better from the outside; old, needs updating inside. Desk staff not over helpful. I must say the best feature was the view from our room/glass elevator of the downtown area.

Great service, besides the girl running the parking lot. She was extremely rude and not friendly at all. We had our parking pass from the hotel and she still made us pay because we didn't have a stub from the garage
