Serious safety concern and Is this really a Best Western???

Before I say anything else about this hotel I thing you need to know that there are no dead-bolts on the exterior faceing doors.
Where are the rooms in the pictures??? If this hotel is in the process of updating they definitly had not made it to the room I stayed in. The room was small and crowded. I guess by upgraded bathroom amenities they must mean don't try to adjust the shower head unless you want the whole bathroom wet, and most of the shower surround is there. The beds in the room are actually not bad, if you can get the bottom sheet to stay on the mattress. I have stayed at other Best Westerns and loved them, however this one is definitly not up to their normal standards.
A pleasure to stay at

Our experience here was one in which everything was done right from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous, going out of their way to accommodate a couple special needs we had while we were there. I give them high marks for "above and beyond" service.
The hotel is located in an area that seems pretty safe. It's a few miles from the airport but is easily accessible via freeway. Our room was clean, and the building is well-maintained and fairly quiet. The complimentary breakfast was colossal, with something to satisfy every taste - hot foods, fruit, cereals, etc.
If you're looking for good value when staying in Phoenix, this place fits the bill. A+ service, clean quiet rooms, and great complimentary extras.
Ok for the price

Hotel is at the corner of two busy streets, pool is nice but a bit noisy with traffic. Beds are nicer than a "regular" best western but don't be fooled, the rooms and hotel grounds are still very much a Best Western. Free breakfast was edible although not terribly enjoyable. Free cocktail hour was a nice touch. Hotel is pretty far north of the biltmore area, maybe should not be listed as "Biltmore."

Overall, it was nice. The room faced the pool, and you could hear people in the pool while in the room. The free breakfast offered a lot and free drinks at the cocktail hour. The only problem: on the last night we went to the pool and so called to ask for extra towels. They said they would bring them up. When they hadn't come, we called back and were told they were out of clean towels until the next morning. This seemed unusual, maybe because it was after the busy holiday night.
