Our room at the Americinn was very nice and comfortable. The pool and hot tub was nice and the hot tub in our room was very nice and romantic. Every year my husband and I come to Traverse City for our Anniversity and we have stayed at many different motels and hotels the Americinn has been one of the nicest places that we have stayed. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.
BAD MOTEL 8 LEVEL

We arrived in travel website without plans of staying there but friends asked us to meet them later the next day. so we went to this motel as a last resort no other available rooms in the city. The bed was like a rock on a rock. Connected to the parking lot is a go-cart and minature golf course always busy and loud. The ceiling in the bathroom is rusting and the room has one very small waste basket. The breaskfast in the lobby runs from 6a-10a and was so crowded with a handful of tables so most people and their kids had to eat standing up, We gave up and went to a restaurant. As a "value" motel it was very expensive well beyond its two star rating. The grounds were a parking lot with a few flowers planted in the front for traffic to see. Most of the money was spent on the lobby area and little on the rooms---updating needed. However to be fair we have never stayed at an AmerInn and won't again unless circumstances require it Unless you don't have a choice pass it bye-bye.

Best value in Traverse City, by far. Internet, later pool hours for adults, quiet facility, rockin' breakfast and 24/7 free coffee. Clean rooms and personable staff make this the best for folks who value money and excellent service.

The service was excellent and the hotel was very clean. We didn't get to use the pool, but liked that it was open until midnight for adults and only until 10:00 pm for children. Perhaps the best feature was how quiet the hotel was. We never even heard the normal noises that you usually hear in the morning as people in all the other rooms start getting ready (such as water running through pipes, etc.). Having breakfast included was also a nice touch.

Our stay was very relaxing and pleasurable. The staff was freindly to us as well as the kids. The pool area was clean, although the chlorine seemed a little on the high side. The rooms were clean the only complaints were the wall paper above the shower/bathtub unit was peeling away from the wall, in a couple of spots. also there was not a sauna as was stated on the brochure. Great room, breakfast, entertainment near by. All in all the stay was very much worh the price.
