Description: This hotel is in a good central location. It is not at the ski area, but only 1 mile from the Beaver Creek ski area and only 8 miles from the Vail ski area. It is located right in the town of Avon and is walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. They are also on the free shuttle route.
The lobby area was really nice and warm feeling. It had open wooden beams and a stone fireplace and sitting area. The breakfast area was also really nice feeling, and it had a fireplace to and nice tables and chairs.
The hotel offers an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, interior corridors, free parking, guest laundry, and meeting rooms. The room we had was really nice and clean. It was on the first floor, so it was easy to get to, but they also have elevators for upper-level rooms. The room had a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, coffeemaker, phones, and wireless Internet. Our room had two beds, a dresser, nightstand, table and chairs, and television. It could get a little crowded for a larger family on a ski trip with lots of luggage. It was just two of us in the room, though, in the summer, so we had plenty of room. They also offered a daily free continental breakfast.
