Would stay again

In short: Pros: Nice, clean updated rooms. Ceiling fan, fridge in room, flat screen TV. Comfy beds. Bar onsite. Great friendly staff. Tea Dance great fun even in lousy weather. Great value for the money. Cons: No a/c. No closets. Lots of street noise late into the early hours and early in the a.m. if you are on the Commercial Street side. Side tip: If you are like us and close the bars down and still want to party late without disturbing others, grab a pizza from Spiritus (open after the bars close), stroll back to the Boatslip and sneak down to the covered tent off the deck and you can continue partying (with your own booze of course) without keeping others up :) All in all, I recommend this hotel for gay/lesbian/heterosexual but it is not for children.

Affordable and Fun

My friends and I went to P-town in June 2008. We made a last minute reservation at The Boatslip and were surprised at the affordable price for summertime. The room wasn't fancy, but we didn't expect it to be. It was average and met our needs. The staff were very friendly and the pool/ocean view was fantastic. I have no complaints.

BEST PLACE FOR SUN AND FUN

If you are looking for sun, fun, beautiful views of the ocean and are gay friendly, this is where it is happening. There is a daily 'T' dance for all walks of life that is just the best and the greatest place in Ptown to meet friends and new people. This resort is right on the beach with awesome views of Ptown Harbor. It also has a nice pool and sitting area for sunning and cooling down. It is not to far from downtown. The restaurant on-site is also great and has a good variety of New England favorites. If this is your first time to Ptown and you want a lot of fun, dancing, eating and sun, stay here. You won't be disappointed. This resort has many diversified clientele but is primarily accomodated by fabulously fun gay men.

Hotel is in a great location relative to other hotels/bars. The pool area is nice. The rooms however are not so nice.
