Great Stay over the weekend

We had a nice time in San Clemente. We came only because we wanted to see Nixon's stomping grounds. We werent sure about the hotel, but once we arrived we were quite happy with the accomodations. Pool area was really nice, the beach was a short walk, and the staff was quite friendly.

The front desk staff was rude and did not help much with simple general questions. The property is old and not very well maintained.

I've stayed here twice in the past month and was very pleased by my experiences. Both times I paid for a Queen bed and was upgraded for free to a King. The rooms are quiet, extremely clean, and the beds and pillows are super comfortable. I haven't tried the pool yet, but the rooms that I've used have had private balconies with a view of a lovely courtyard with fountain.

The best thing I can say is the room was clean. However there were no cups or shower caps and the fan vent over the shower was coming off the ceiling. The view is great if you like parking lots and "mini-mall" type establishments. In addition you are a good two mailes from the main beach area.

Very nice smaller hotel with clean comfortable rooms. Excellent pool area with spa and a better than average fitness room. Reservationalist Crystal was very kind and handled our stay perfectly. We would definitely stay there again.
