Oxford Hotel, Denver

I was very dissappointed in this 4* hotel for the following reasons. Upon entering our room we found nothing to put our suitcases on. Had to use the desk chair. The room was quite small. The shower was either too hot or too cold. There was no place to put my bathroom articles. We could not find any card or information about TV stations and there wasn't a guide through the cable system. The front desk didn't have info available either. There wasn't a folder or notebook explaining the hotel services. No coffee pot available in the room. I guess coffee was set up in the morning down the hall but we didn't know about it until we were checking out. I didn't feel like I was in a hotel that had just done a major renovation. The bellhop was very very nice. We appreciated a free towncar ride to the Pepsi Center. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Great Hotel find in LoDo.............Denver, Co.

What a class act, superb location; convenient to shopping, restaurants and Coors Field. Has a European Style feel, but definitely is an early Denver Hotel. Great furnishings, super clean with an LCD panel in the room, and free Wi-Fi. Staff is extraordinarily helpful..........Fantastic bar and excellent sea food restaurant (typically we make it a practice not to eat in hotel restaurants, McCormacks is an exception).....we stayed in a Victorian room. Terrific value for the money spent. Only possible downside is that the shower is very small, but then again how much time does one spend in the shower? We plan to visit this hotel again.

Wonderful stay at the Oxford. Valet was awesome, front desk great and the dining was incredible. Possibly the best waiter we have ever had and the food was perfect. The room was charming, though the bathroom was old and the shower was not all the modern delight you find elsewhere. We would stay there again, enjoy another funky old world night, very romantic.

Quietly Classy

My stay was for a Memorial Weekend getaway. Apart from some initial confusion over my Travelocity reservation (which the Hotel quickly resolved, albeit due to some luck on room availability), I was very happy with my experience. Location for my purposes could not have been more ideal -- e.g., Rockies game and easy access to LoDo eateries and 16th Street Mall. Hotel has great access to/from Interstates, although I assume traffic could be an issue during weekday rush hours. Given the historic classification, don't be surpised by the lack of certain "modern" conveniences such as glass shower enclosures -- but my bath was otherwise classy and functional. Be sure and budget for overnight vallet parking and tips. My Deluxe Victorian room had a very comfortable King bed, expanded cable and flat panel LCD, and a nice view of sunrise over LoDo and Coors Field. Staff exceptional! Recommended!!

Would stay again

This is the closest hotel to Coors Field and the interstates are easily accessible to it.Front desk was extremely helpful any time we had questions or needed help.As I told them when I left I would most definitely stay there again if ever visiting Denver again.
