The hotel was fabulous!

As I read other reviews, I was quite relunctant to celebrate my 16th anniversary at this hotel. However, I had a wonderful time. I stayed in one of the suites (one bedroom and separate living area with pull out couch). I contacted the central office for this hotel and found that all of the rooms has been fully renovated with granite countertops, new carpets and tile, refurbished cabinets and new bath and shower. Unlike other reviews, I did found the water pressure in the bathroom to be just fine. My overall experience was great as it had activities for my children with the miniature golf, jungle gym, tennis/basketball courts, swimming, etc. and of course, the location is central to all of the surrounding shops--just a walk away. Last but not least, I discovered that this hotel was one of the first to be built in Sedona and in fact was built for one of the founders of the city. All of this made it a very special place.

We're timeshare holders at this resort, we bought in 06 after a tour and high pressure. Sept of 07 we tried for the first time, check in hotel clerks were cold and unwelcoming, within 24 hrs they had us in a meeting to "upgrade" our time share, to say the least I was furious, first use and to be trying to sell more at this time I was wild, I told the salesman in with no hiden words my feelings on it and we never did go back for a 2nd salespitch. Our room could use updating but was clean, we arrived to 1 reg and 1 def pack of coffee and they were never replenished, heck even super 8 gives you new coffee daily, same with bar soap, towels only done every few days, I had to wash our coffee mugs myself even those weren't replaced. We ate at one of the places at the resort, good but pricey there too the bartender was anything put friendly. The city it's self is wonderful as are many other bars ,restaruants, and sights. this year we're using our week at Historic Crags Inn, Estes Park Co, if we're unhappy yet again, the fur will fly, they promise you the world, sign the papers and they basically ignore you.

one week stay

My son and I stayed at this resort for a week and really enjoyed our visit. It's centrally located in Sedona and is adjacent to Tlaquepaque village, which has wonderful shopping and some restaurants. There are 2 restaurants at the resort as well. The resort is a time-share property, and they do their best to solicit you to become an owner, but not in a terribly pushy way. The rooms, which are suites, are clean, but could use updating. And the bed was really uncomfortable. There are 2 computers in the lobby available for guest use, but they are old and not terribly fast. There is a salt-water pool and several outdoor areas for family use, such as miniature golf and chess. The spa is great - I had a massage - Dolly is wonderful!, and a facial with Lee, who is great as well. The fitness facility is well outfitted and there are nice locker rooms adjacent.

Wonderful Family Hotel - Would definitely stay again.

We were there for spring break when it was a little chilly outside. The heated saltwater pool meant that the kids could swim after a long morning hike. The putt putt golf course, bocce ball, horseshoes and large outdoor chess set also kept my kids busy in a beautiful setting by the creek. A wild bird station and labyrinth were also nice touches. The brick oven pizza from the Italian restarant on the premises was terrific! The refrigerator, toaster and microwave in the room meant we didn't have to eat every meal out and had a place to store and reheat leftovers from restaurants.

We have traveled a fair amount and feel this trip was one of the best. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My experience at the Spa was delightful. We loved relaxing down by the creek. The grounds are well maintained, room was clean and comfortable, and the resturants were nice. Cant wait for May to return.
