Okay place to stay, but nothing special

I had problems getting wireless internet to work. I had problems getting service in the dining room. There were plenty of servers, but we sat there until we decided we would go somewhere else because it didn't look like we'd get waited on. The food is mediocre, and the choices are limited. There is a small casino which is kind of claustrophic. The obligatory Starbucks is in the lobby. Parking is free. The bottled water in the room is free, which is a nice feature. The hotel looks run down, like it could use some remodeling. The beds are extremely comfortable. My advice is that you stay at the Monte Carlo, which is similarly priced but much nicer.
Beware of dogs!

Overall this is a nice hotel, on par with other Westins that I have stayed at. However, one bad night soured my entire experience there. On my last night, an unattended dog in the next room barked until 2am. The desk said they could do nothing because the guest was out of the room. Allowing guests to leave unattended animals in the room seems rude to other guests and cruel to the dog! Because of the disturbance and the poor response I will not stay there again. If you go, make sure there are no dogs in the next room!
The Westin Hotel was a Great Place to Stay

I loved the location walking distance from the strip. But if you are hungry late night the only option is the Suede Restaurant, which is a great place to eat, but I wanted something different so we went to the strip. Bally's is across the street with an all night Cafe. My only complaint was the bathroom A/C was not on or working, whhich i report when i discovered it was not working. The bed was great and so was the staff. I will for sure stay there again and recommend others to go as well..
Great Stay at the Westin

This was our first time staying off-strip and we chose the Westin b/c it was in the off-mid-strip. We could see the strip from our room. The Westin was clean and we enjoyed that it was non-smoking. We also liked it b/c it's not a "mega-hotel" where to get to your room, you have to walk miles through a casino to get to an elevator and then down endless hallways. The website states that elevators are under construction and that's true. On the weekend there were a few times we had to wait a few minutes to catch a ride. We were on the 4th floor and took the nearby stairs. We ate once at the restaurant Suede, it was okay- overpriced. Ellis Island (rated on Travel Channel) is a short walk away and a much better 24/7 option. The bed was the best part of the stay and the main reason we picked this hotel. Pool is okay, nothing special... server was very attentive. Other reviews are correct that it's not a "real" Westin with all the amenities. We rented a car through trave agent and that was the best for easy commuting. There is a surface lot right outside the door that made parking very easy, and a ramp nearby. Near tons of restaurants on Flamingo Road with nearby shopping.

We loved the fact this hotel was just a short walk to the strip. We loved the pool hours---open from 6am to 2am, we went swimming every nite to soothe our aches from walking! It is also close to the monorail system. We did NOT like the fact they would not let us check in until 4pm, but they did have a place to hold our luggage. The room service was nice and very upscale delivery with a fresh flower and goblets! Overall this hotel had the Best Beds we have ever slept in .... firm but pillowtop, excellent quality!
