A very lovely hotel; gracious service, quiet, comfortable and impeccable. A real splurge for our family but worth it for the experience!

Excellent 5 Stars

We stayed in the Jumeirah for 3 days. The Jumeirah is located about 10-15 min from the center. When we arrived at the hotel we had no luggage as it got lost by the airline, but were due in on the next flight, the hotel offered to send someone out to get them. We got food at the Bar which was fabulous and the Buffet Breakfast is amazing. the mini-bar is quiet expensive. The overall condition of the hotel is excellent as it is still very new, the staff were very helpful and friendly for the duration of our stay , the room was of a huge size with some design furnishings , i would highly recommend this hotel for pleasure or romantic getaway.

Other than the maid service being late to clean up (after 5 PM) the hotel was in great condition and the staff was very friendly. We had a late checkout on the Sunday we left and they were very accomodating. The Concierge was extremely helpful also with local restaurants quality and transportation. I highly recommend this place.

Never again!

From the miserable confusion at the front desk to the construction to the incompetent staff, when you could even find them, this was an awful choice of a "luxury" hotel. We checked out early and spent the rest of our trip elsewhere and had an absolutely wonderful time without the chaos of this hotel.

Essex House

This is the second time I have stayed at the Essex. The first was before the remodeling they conducted over the last two year. The remodeling has made the room much nicer, roomier and more luxurious for the price one pays. The stay was wonderful and the only negative I would express was the location of the TV was fixed and not able to angle toward the bed. However the new color scheme and the bed comfort were top notch.
