We were very pleased with the hotel and the price. The room was beautiful with great benefits. We would/will definitly stay there again!

Nice condo! Great pool (both outside and on the roof), jacuzzi, workout room, fire pit. They even let us make smores in the firepit with the Grandkids. Our room did not have a stove but did have gas BBQ on the balcony which worked out fine. Would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed a lovely fall weekend in Avon. The hotel was a great surprise; nice appointments, comfortable and private. All in all, it was a good experience.

Hiking in the mountains, whitewater rafting, biking, and shopping!

Accommodations were first-rate, clean, and comfortable. The activities director and the staff were exceptional!

Resort Experience:
Avon is the best-kept secret in the Vail Valley, close to Vail, Breckenridge, and Silverthorne. The scenery in this area is awe-inspiring, with so much to do, we couldn't fit it all in. We took the first two days to get used to the altitude (8,000 feet), based on recommendations, which was a very good idea! We then hiked to 12,000 feet on the Mccullough gulch trail in Breckenridge, and then ate lunch at the Bubba Gumps Shrimp House, which was relaxing and delicious, situated at the base of the groomed ski slopes. The next day, we rafted the Colorado River, which was higher than usual from the high amount of winter snowfall, and had an exciting adventure. The guides at Timberline Adventures were fun and knowledgeable. We then split up our foursome; the boys went ATV riding through the mountains in Leadville, and the girls went horseback riding in the hills of Cordillera, both a few minutes' drive from our resort. The remainder of the week we spent touring, shopping, and dining in Beaver Creek Village in Avon and Vail. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for our first trip westward!

Best Things Nearby:
The Avon shuttle had a bus stop right across the street and it took you directly to the Beaver Creek ski resort. This shuttle was very convenient and saved us $10 parking if we had driven up the mountain. Christy Sports is also directly across the street in the Comfort Inn. If you are staying in the Sheraton Mountain Vista you are given a 50% discount off their rack rates on ski rentals.

Best Things About the Resort:
The Mountain Vista was immaculate and very spacious. We had a balcony that looked out on the mountains. We especially enjoyed having a washer and dryer in our room. This allowed us to wash out ski clothes each night so we were able to pack lighter. The hot tub in the room was also very relaxing after a full day of skiing.

Resort Experience:
The resort has two hot tubs (an indoor and an outdoor) on the seventh floor. The resort also offered free passes to the Avon Recreation Center which is right behind the resort. If you have children, they will love this place. There are water slides, a lazy river, diving boards and a play area for small children.
