Our room was very small, but adequate for the 2 of us. We found it to be quite clean, comfortable bed, lots of hot water, excellent A/C, elevator, free internet, excellent location for seeing Madrid -- located between 2 main Metro stations, 1/2 block from the Opera, adequate restaurants, excellent breakfast - worth the extra charge of 8 euros. Desk clerk, Oscar, was very helpful with instructions of how to get to various locations. We extended our stay an extra 4 days!

This hotel is in the heart of the touristy area - near Plaza Mayor. Other than that, it doesn't have much going for it. The rooms had no extras-no iron or hair dryer. All the room have two twins pushed together - no seperate beds, no king/queen. And the bathroom door is made of glass, so if you're sitting on the toilet, a person in the room can look straight through to see you. The non-smoking room smelled of old smoke. Ultimately, the rooms have little to recommend them, but if you're not fussy and you don't plan on spending much time in the hotel, it's okay.

We stayed here for 2 nights on the first part of our European honeymoon and had a great experience. Internet access from room, TV, safe with no deposit required, spacious bathroom. Shower door kept coming off tracks, but no big deal. GREAT European buffet in mornings. Better than othter hotels!
