We stayed at the hotel on our wedding night (we also had our wedding & reception at the hotel) -- everything was perfect. Many of our guests stated that it was the nicest wedding they had attended. The flaming dessert is a must experience -- impresive and delicious!
Eastland Park-hotel with character

The room was comfortable, pleasant, and clean. As with many old hotels, the bath was small, as was the closet. Staff was helpful and cordial. I enjoyed the hotel, although I would have loved to have a pool. I enjoyed being in an old hotel in a wonderful city, rather than a cookie-cutter hotel I can stay in anywhere.

I have stayed at the Eastland Park Hotel several times before, and I have always been satisfied with my experience. The staff is friendly and helpfull, the decor is elegant, and it is just a short walk from down town. I would also recommend the night cafe on the very top floor of the hotel; it is open untill late hours, one may order appetizers and drinks up there, and the view is incredible.
Eastland Park Hotel: So-so

Overall OK. Nice room, good front desk service. Downsides: bathroom in room tiny and spartan. Vvalidated parking not free, but is discounted and parking attendant only takes cash, not CC. (Would've been nice to know in advance.) Surprisingly, the continental breakfast is not free, either, as it is in virtually every hotel in Portland. Great feature: The rooftop Top of the East Lounge. But service there was uneven. One waitress was slow, curt, and inattentive; while another was the absolute opposite -- she seemed to be doing her co-worker's job, as well.
