Central location, friendly staff, quiet hotel with clean comfortable rooms and beds, a suite for the price of a N.Y. hotel room.
Will stay again.
Spring Break Trip w/teenage son

Took my 17 yr old son to see New York for the first time; we chose Dbl Tree Suites because of location and security and weren't disappointed! The only problem we ran into was that we did a prepaid trip and when we checked in they showed the room wasn't paid for, so they charged me, again! I wasn't reimbursed until the day we got home. Numerous stops at desk/calls to acctg were sort of shrugged off "don't worry, it will work out". Nonetheless, the hotel was beautiful, we faced Times Square, security was wonderful and the warm cookies at check in was a bonus. We were close to everything, the rooms were large and comfortable, it was perfect! The activities desk was very helpful; they pointed us towards subway routes, pizza places and more. Awesome hotel, would definitely choose again!
An absolutely flawless stay, perfect for families!

Our suite was large, modern, clean and comfortable. A frig, microwave, wet bar, safe, desk, mini-bar and LED flat screen were unexpected bonuses. Two large doubles, a sleeper sofa, two TV's and large modern bathroom gave our family of five room to relax and enjoy. We had a view of Times Square from our 42nd floor window. We were made to feel welcome by every single staff member (as well as the hot cookies we received at check in). Located right on Times Square, adjacent to a subway station, and literally around the corner from the 47th diamond (and watch!) district. Unlimited dining possibilities nearby from push-carts to world class cuisine, convenient to the shows. The folks at Bobby Vans Grill on W. 50th made us feel very welcome. Consider paying the spare plate fee and sharing one of their enormous steaks). When arriving at the hotel be aware that it is actually located on the SE corner of 7th and 47th., not Broadway! Easy walking distance to all the touristy spots, a 10 minute subway ride to the MET and China Town, a short hike to Central Park! We stayed at the Waldorf on our last visit and it was excellent, but I would prefer to stay at the Doubletree, especially when visitng with the entire family.
Great location!

We choose this hotel for its location in the middle of Times Square. We are big fans of Broadway so we were right around the corner from most of the theaters and also from TKTS so we could easily go down and see if we could catch a show. We were also very close to great shopping on 5th Ave, MoMA, Rockefeller Center, etc.
They did offer us cookies when we arrived but the staff at reception was not the friendliest. I booked a room with free internet access and when I checked in they told me I had free local calls as well. When I called later to confirm that, they could not tell me which was very frustrating and we ended up getting charged for calls that we thought would be free. Also the internet rates at the business center were ridiculously expensive! Bring your laptop and get a room with free internet and print everything you need before you leave! Also the double beds are quite small and definitely very small for two adults. And a strange thing was that there were no hooks in the bathroom for your wet towel. But the Neutrogena bathroom amenities were nice. It was also nice to have the liviing room and the bed room. We had a snorer that we made sleep in the living room and we closed the door at night. Book this place in advance so you get a good rate and it is definitely worth it.

my husband and i met in new york after he had been gone for a week at trainings prior to returning home. we found this hotel on line and read great reviews. We really liked this hotel from the location, to the comfortable beds, our room had an awesome view of times square, very quiet, no noise from the traffic. within walking distance of tons of stuff, subway is right there at the corner by the hotel. when we return to new york we will stay at this double tree again,
