I stayed at the W in March of 2009. When we arrived at around 7 pm EST, the people outside were very helpful and carried our bags into the hotel. The check in people were also helpful and helped us find a delicious restaurant near by. We stayed on the 43rd floor. We had a great view and the room was very quiet. The W is an amazing hotel in the center of Manhattan!

I stayed at the W in Times Square over 4th of July weekend. We were able to view the amazing Macy's Fireworks from our hotel room. We were close to many subway stations, and in the heart of Times Square. Everything was in walking distance. The rooms had very comfortable beds and a very modern feel to them. Plenty of space considering we were in Manhattan. The rooms were very quiet. You could not hear people in the next rooms or in the hall. Everyone we encountered working for the hotel was extremely helpful, courteous, friendly, and went above and beyond their job descriptions. There is a beautiful lounge with great drinks and great service as well. We used the concierge daily and they were extremely knowledgable and helpful. They got us reservations at great restaurants, helped us get on the right subways, recommended entertainment, etc. I would stay at this hotel over and over again and plan to with each trip. Fantastic!

We were a little hesitant about making a reservation at this hotel because of some of the other reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a wonderful time at the W Times Square . Our room was beautiful and it looked like it had just been renovated! The little chocolates that were left in the room everyday was a very nice touch, along with the note from the General Manager on our first day. We also noticed that we never hear the housekeeping staff, but the rooms are always clean.
Everyone we came in contact with at the hotel were very accommodating and we felt like they genuinely cared about the quality of our stay.
There was one staff member in particular who helped to make our stay extra memorable. Gil (I think one of the security staff?) was especially helpful and went out of his way to make our stay more special. We felt like VIPs in the hotel and also that we had a friend who would take care of us. We've stayed in many W's over the years now and the service in general is very good, but the service at this location was outstanding!
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay.

The staff is nice and generally helpful. However, the rooms are a little well-worn for being newly renovated. Additionally, the housekeeping staff leaves a little to be desired. Our bathroom was not all that clean. The location is great. The restaurant is very expensive and room service is just outrageous ($28 for an egg white omleette PLUS a delivery fee PLUS 19% service charge PLUS 8-9% tax. COME ON!!!! A B- at best.
The W in Times Square was FABULOUS!

This hotel was amazing. The customer service was stellar, the decor was phenomenal and the location was beautiful as well as the room views.
The only negative was the botlled water... $12 for very crappy tasting water.
