Nice older hotel conviently located about 5-10 minutes from airport and right off the Interstate. Nice work staff and clean room. Only negatives were the small parking lot and the swimming pool which they were just cleaning.

I found TWO (living, running) BUGS AND a dead centipede wrapped in spider webbing!!! Not to mention ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE hadn't faxed my confirmation to the hotel and I had to wait 20 minutes to get in the room.

Beware the elevator

The hotel was nice enough, but my deadbolt mechanism in my door wouldn't work correctly. (It remained out when I attempted to leave the room). I was also held captive by the elevator for about 10 minutes. The door closed and then the elevator just sat there. I was finally freed by holding the buzzer down until the front desk got the machine working again.

When in Atlanta, stay somewhere else

This hotel has seen some abuse. I don't know if it's because it's an airport hotel, and airport hotels are utilitarian flopovers for people waiting for the next day's flight out, or whether the Best Western folks made a decision in the mid 1980s to make no further upgrades to the facility. The outside of the building looks in good enough shape, as does the lobby area. It's not until you reach your room that the true horrors reveal themselves. Our first-floor "suite" was one room with two queen beds and a fold-out sleeper sofa. The freestanding chair had large tears in its upholstery. The television looked its age - a bulking box of a set from the late 80s or early 90s. I don't know if it worked, as there was no remote control, and I didn't want to touch the visibly grimy controls on the front of the set. The bathroom was functional enough, but not clean. The lever to activate the shower, for example, was actually slimy. The two bottles of shampoo left in the room, judging from the faded and buckling paper labels, had been there for some time and had probably been submerged at some point in their history. Submerged in what, I didn't want to find out. We used the shampoo we brought with us. There are lots of other airport hotels in Atlanta. I will not be returning to this one. AVOID.

Stay away

I'm generally not very pick, so to give a poor review is out of character for me. The hotel looks very nice from outside and the lobby is very clean. The room I stayed in had a strong odor to it. Very difficult to get past. Room in general wasn't very clean. Bathroom looked like they just folded the towels and walked away. Speaking of the towels, they wouldn't have made very good rags. I wouldn't stay there again!!
