Below Average Hampton

On a Hampton comparison scale, this one rates a D, below average. First the good: The rooms, beds, furnishings, and linens are clean and up to Hampton standards. So they got the basics down. And on Mondays there's a reception with beer and some food. However...
The wireless internet is horribly slow at all times of the day and night; forget about downloading large email attachments or watching online TV. Even general browsing is painfully slow. This wasn't a one-time problem; same issue last time I was here, and support and management tried to blame it on peak usage. Baloney. Speaking of TV, the rooms still have the old TVs and offer a limited selection of non-news channels. The traditional Hampton hot breakfast is just packaged omelets and breakfast sandwiches you can put in a microwave, and the overall breakfast selections are rather limited. In the workout room, one treadmill has been out of service since early Feb 09, and the other barely works.
So if all you need is a place to lay your head and grab a little breakfast, you'll do fine. But if you're a business traveler who is used to what most Hamptons offer or need to take advantage of amenities, you'll be disappointed.
