WONDERFUL!!

I had heard of this hotel from a comedian named Kathy Griffon. She had stayed there as a part of her show because they dedicated a suite to her. When I found it I just had to stay there. I loved my room, small but cute. I gave the bed an "Okay" rating because I am used to my Tempur-Pedic bed and nothing is softer than that. So I felt a little stiff in the morning. The service was top notch. The hotel is beautiful. I ate at the restaurant downstairs called Perry's and had a wonderful meal. Everything about my stay was the best and I will stay with them from now on when I go to San Fran.

This is a small, quaint boutique hotel in an excellent location but noisy. Very green - down to the soap. Great location at relatively good rates. Helpful staff. Great dining destinations in walking distance - no SF hills

WE checked into the Griffon and the room was small but very useable and clean. We were very upset to find out that for the continental breakfast you would find muffins etc. on your floor and have to go to the lobby for coffee BECAUSE THE LOBBY WAS UNDER RENOVATION...iT WAS TOO EMBARRASSING TO BRING GUEST OR CLIENTS TO THE LOBBY. The icing on the cake is when we checked out and found out we were paid in full BUT CAME HOME TO FIND WE HAD BEEN CHARGED BY THE GRIFFIN when we had already paid the online company. It has been TWO WEEKS AND WE HAVE NOT BE REIMBURSED ANY $$$$$ i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

A wonderful stay at uniquely charming property. The staff was courteous and helpful from beginning to end. Conveniently located near Embarcadero, the Griffon provided both convenience and atmosphere, a hard combination for many larger properties to achieve.

Great location, great value

I only stayed here one night over Labor Day weekend as I was attending a football game in Berkeley across the Bay. This hotel is very close to the Embarcadero BART station so is very convenient without being around all the hotel traffic around Union Square. The room is somewhat small-ish but what you would expect in places like Manhattan and San Francisco. The great Ferry Building is a very short walk away, with great views of the downtown and the Bay itself. Noted fine restaurants are also in the immediate neighborhood. I am a VIP online travel website member and got a very good last-minute discount by booking through this website. I believe the rate came down 15%.
