Quote: This hotel on the beach was a very good value. Felt lucky to find room availability with short notice. Room was clean, but found some small dead flying bugs on carpet. Ordered room service, and noticed desk lamp not working. Hotel worker who brought... Read the full Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel review

Quote: Front Desk hostess was fairly rude when asked if I could utilized their private beach after the 11am (which seems early) checkout. She said , "No. You'll have to sit at the public beach down the road". I explained I had arrived late the previous... Read the full Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel review

This is barely a 2-star property.

Quote: Went for a fun weekend with sisters. while the hotel was nice, it was definitely geared toward a 'early to bed' crowd. one night we got back to the hotel at 9pm and found the lounge empty with a singer singing to only the bartender. Beach area very... Read the full Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel review

Quote: The location was great but the hotel was rundown looking, rotten banisters, worn carpets. It probably was a great hotel in the past but it needs a major refurbishing.
