Times Square From Above

Hotel was perfect for a quick getaway with my 8 yr. old daughter. She was mesmerized by the view of Times Square at night from our 40th floor room. Room was immaculate. Room Service prompt, correct, and friendly. Staff helpful. 8th floor Lobby is a great place to relax, have a drink, and be entertained by the goings on of Times Square.

I was staying here for a conference and was very impressed with this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel had a nice fitness center with a great view while you work out. Overall this was one of the best trips I had ever taken and this hotel was a big part of it.

Marriott Marquis Times Square

Who honeymoons in the busiest, noisiest part of NYC? People who aren’t paying for the honeymoon. My husband and I were fortunate to have most of our trip planning and costs gifted to us, so we didn’t exactly have a choice in where to honeymoon. NYC was not on my list of honeymoon destinations, but I was impressed by the convenience and luxury offered by the Marriott Marquis.

To say that this hotel is convenient to Times Square is an understatement. The property seems to spill out onto the square; switching gears from relaxing in the hotel to venturing into the city is effortless. The hotel is so large that when we needed a break from the overwhelming city, we simply walked inside the lobby and felt calmer. It was even quieter on our high floor.

I usually choose smaller, more homey vacation accommodations, and the Marriott Marquis’ opulence did offend my senses a bit. But my husband and I had no time to plan for our honeymoon, so staying smack in Times Square was a great starting point for our three-day honeymoon. The hotel was clean and bright, and I felt safe there. Our room was small, but the bed was very cozy (I usually hate hotel beds). If I had the chance to stay there again, I likely would just for the convenience. Staying at the Marriott Marquis was an unforgettable experience.

Awful - Stay Away

Two words - rude staff. You can expect to wait 90 minutes to check in. You will not get the confirmed room. Your Marriott Gold status will mean nothing to the hotel staff and management. Bathrooms are nasty. When I arrived, I found a sock in my bed from the previous guest - the sheets were not changed. - STAY AWAY
