Bedbugs!!!

That's right. I got nibbled on by bedbugs on the last night of my stay at Pagoda. Eew!
Also, the drive up to the 4th floor of the parking garage across the street wasn't a treat after the first couple of times. No closer parking, no valet.
OK for the Money

This hotel was recommended to me by the state government, so I didn't expect the classiest of places. However, this was a very good deal for Oahu and had a great location near the shopping centre and Korea town. They also provided us with in room refrigerators and the option for extra beds.
The rooms could stand to be a bit cleaner, particularly the showers. It was also a bit noisy during the night. Overall, a good deal for the money.
OVERPRICED

The roons in the Pagoda Terrace are over priced for what you get. May be okay for a family with kids or someone whio does not mind the noise. The obsolete windows do not shut and you hear street noise and others talking outside.
Very comfortable

My family of five comfortably stayed 5 days in one room at the Pagoda. It's a pleasure to stay among locals and away from tacky Waikiki. Ala Moana (beach & shopping mall), public buses, freeway, all kinds of food venues and downtown Honolulu are easily accessible. The room was very clean, secure & affordable with comfortable beds & great air conditioning. The staff were very nice, too.

Comfortable, safe & quiet. Close to Ala Moana beach & shopping center, lots of food venues, public buses and downtown. Great place to stay if want to avoid tackiness of Waikiki area.
