O.K. but not great

This hotel is o.k. The housekeeping staff are friendly but the hotel always looks/smells not so clean. The room was nice but the bed was VERY uncomfortable, with some springs portruding. The pool area is nice and the cabana bar with live music makes up for some of the hotel's deficiencies. Parking is a problem, especially when the band is playing because it is open to non-guests. The food/pricing at the restaurant are o.k., but also smells eggy and everything is sticky (table, salt/pepper shakers). A good thorough washdown with bleach once in a while can go a long way.

This was a terrific stay. the hotel was awesome and the food was really tastey! The beach was almost 5 feet away! The water felt good to.The pool was fantastic as well. The bad things were that there was a guy following my daughter and her friend. He followed them everywhere. Then a staff member at least seventeen and my daughter and her friend were 14 and 13 he kept on talking to them and looking at them. Another bad thing was there was a bonfire on the beach at least 20 ft. from the hotel and some drunk college kids made it. It got out of control and the staff went and partyed with them. But the hotel was amzing and the views are great!

Good Location/Not so good Houskeeping

From the pictures we saw, this hotel was not what we expected at all . While the front desk was friendly enough and room service was quick, this hotel was a little antiquated. The two elavators were very small and one of them became out of order shortly after we arrived. When we walked into our room our bed looked as if someone had been laying on it and the ice bucket had black mildew under the lid. Our first dining experience there was our last, not so much because of the food but the fact that we could not enjoy our food because of the flies in the dining area. We did like the location, however we did choose to end our vacation two days early due to hurricane Dolly, but we did not mind because we were not impressed with this hotel.

Rooms were clean and comfortable

We went for a getaway without the kids. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable. The main areas and hallways could have used an update. It was nice that it was right on the beach. It would have been better if they offered chairs for beach use for free. They were $10 a day per chair. Also the area right around the hotel had trash on the beach, beer cans, cig butts. We might stay again, but might choose a different hotel.

Amazing location! Family friendly!

Loved the fact that the hotel was steps from the beach. The elelvator was seriously inadequate -- slow and tiny for how busy the hotel was. I took the stairs as often as possible just to avoid the frustration. The desk staff was great. Kids activities were a welcome reprieve, but it wasn't quite what we expected. As all the other reviewers have said, the restaurant was bad. No other word for it. Also, the parking lot was tiny. Otherwise, the location is fabulous, the pool and cabana were great -- live music on the weekend. Rentals were inexpensive. The kids didn't want to leave!
