We stayed at this Embassy Suites because it was centrally situated for our trip. The neighborhood isn't ritzy, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The suite was clean and comfortable, with frig & two tv's. Stay on the 3rd or 4th floor and you can leave your sliding door open for fresh air at night. The on-site restaurant had complimentary "to-order" breakfast - omelets, french toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage; cereals, toast, oatmeal, Starbucks coffee, tea, milk juice - a bargain; tip the chef at least a $1. Ordered lin room unch once, dinner twice - good burgers, quick service, small room service menu had other good choices but we wanted burgers. Close to 202 freeway and airport. Clean attractive grounds. Convenient parking. Driver & van can take you on shorts runs in the area. Not close to fun shopping and things to do, but there is a drug store around the corner. We'd stay there again.

Would not return

My husband and I stay at Embassy Suites all the time and this has to be the worst stay we have experienced. The room was not ready until an hour after check in. We had to sit in the lobby and wait with two angry toddlers who really needed a nap. Housekeeping never came during our entire stay. We only had the do not disturb sign on the door from 2-3 pm everyday for naptime. One day we never had the sign on the door and still no housekeeping. I went to the lobby to buy a soda from the gift shop and waited 15 minutes for anyone to even show up at the desk so I could pay for it. While I was waiting a line of three different couples showed up to check in and also had to wait. I don't know if it was a staffing issue that weekend but the stay was not something I would want to experience again. On the upside, Bob, the breakfast chef, was awesome.

I was concerned about staying at this Embassy Suites after reading some of the reviews posted on this site, but was pleasantly surprised. XXX, the front desk agent, was friendly and accommodating. We were able to stay in a room that was newly remodeled, which was very nice. The hotel is not brand new, which was apparent because the floors in our room weren't completely level, but this did not impact our experience. The cooks each morning, XXX and XXX went above and beyond our expectations. The servers in the evening were very nice and friendly as well. They seemed to love their jobs. How refreshing. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but very good. We purchased a $25 certificate from Restaurant.Com for $10 so that helped quite a bit. The free drinks in the evening were a nice bonus too. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would stay there again for the hotel, amenities and most of all, the staff. My husband and I were impressed!

Overall a great place to stay

Room accomodations are very good. Security is excellent. Front desk staff was helpful with all my question. Only recommendation is to request a room on the opposite side of 44th St. Traffic is busy all night long and made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast is awesome. If you stay, ask for the "Bob Special". You'll love it! I will definitely stay here my next trip to Phoenix.

Will return
