Morning construction?

There are a lot of nice things about this hotel. It's clean, well located (near many shops and places to eat, as well as UC Riverside), and has comfy beds and pillows. It's easy to find, and felt safe. Several things really disappointed me though. For one, their breakfast buffet had all the same things that normally come with complimentary breakfasts (with the addition of glassware and omelets) at most hotels, except it cost $11 per person. Our room didn't have a fridge or microwave, which was a bit of a surprise considering the price. The shower didn't drain very well at all.
The biggest disappointment was at 9:30am hearing workmen using extremely loud drills right next door, then in the rest of the rooms in our wing. When we called the front desk, they explained the men were drilling into concrete to install wireless internet. The woman at the front desk was kind (offered us ear plugs!) and promised to keep us "updated" but we still had to leave much earlier than we had planned because of the noise. I doubt that kind of thing happens often, but it says something that they couldn't bother to wait until most guests had woken up, left, or checked out to start doing such loud work. I won't be going back, and I'd suggest you look elsewhere.

This hotel was a great place to stay at, very convently located to restaurants, shops, and easy access to freeway, staff very helpful

Room was clean, beds comfortable with extra pillows. This was our 3rd stay at the hotel and it has been consistently good overall. The breakfast buffet was OK but could be better (fresher food would be nice). Noticed they had a guard walking the parking lot at night. Located near University of California Riverside.
