Nice Hotel~Great Loacation

This was a great hotel in the perfect location in Mid town Manhattan. Everyone on staff was personable yet professional, and very attentive. The hotel is small so with many employees in the lobby area (bellmen, concierge, security, doormen, reception, etc) they know who is coming and going from the property, we felt very safe and secure. The decor was bright and pleasing, elevators, hallways and rooms clean and comfortable. The hotel is just far enough away from the hustle bustle of Times Square yet close enough to walk for shopping and the shows. Also a quick walk in the other direction to Central Park. A subway entrance one block away was terrific for transportation to Yankee Stadium. The Hotel also provided free of charge a range rover and a driver to take their guests anywhere within a 20 block radius! I have stayed in Manhattan at variuos hotels over the past several years and I will definitely stay at The London again!

Baby, It's Cold Inside

Great location, great suite, very nice check-in staff and concierge. Came back from a dinner and late show to a frigid 54 deg F room in late May. Not very conducive to a romantic weekend. Called Front Desk staff to inform, yet still no heat 30 minutes later at 1:30am. The AC, however, was working great. Awoke to a balmy 64 deg room, and still no heat from heater or the Misses. We were provided with pleasant but impotent apologies from the front desk the next morning--after all, it wasn't their fault. An apology from the hotel manager would have been more appropriate. Very disappointed in a $500 a night room. Maybe I should have paid more.

The security guards were so nice. My friend accidentally locked me out of the room and the hotel was very accomodating.
