The hotel is situated between two restaurants. The location is very good. The room I was in was very small. They advertised a renovation was done in 2006. The room (#20) I was given needed more work. The parking was okay since it was free but about a block from the hotel. The garage also served as a storage area; It could only hold 5 - 6 cars. Paying for the same parking would have been an issue. The price is hard to beat therefore I would definitly give the hotel another try.

A great place to stay for Mardi Gras

"Great place to stay for mardi gras as most of the parades go right by the hotel!...Got a screaming deal, tried to reserve for next year, and they told me the great rates I got were possibly a mistake, but they did honored them. Hotel clean, comfortable, but the front desk personnel wasn't helpful/knowledgable."
Rooms need work

Location good. Narrow halls and stairs to carry luggage up and through. Couldn't pick up the WiFi in my room, had to take my PC to lobby to work. Rooms need maintenance badly, walls, chairs with stains all over fabric, carpet same. Beds good. Price good, but I'll pay more for better maintained rooms.
