mmm...not so much

To begin with, I asked for two rooms near each other and for one to have a microwave and a refrigerator. I even called from the airport when I arrived and said that we would be there as soon as the other party got in, reminding them again that I wanted a microwave and refrigerator in one of the rooms. When we got to the hotel, they had given away one of the rooms, so we were now on two different floors. There was no refrigerator or microwave in either room. I called the desk, and eventually they brought up a very dirty microwave and refrigerator which I cleaned out. Then there was the shower that was never hot and on one morning was actually cool and not even tepid, which was how it was on its best days. I did not eat the breakfast, but the other party did....once. After that we went out to Le Peep, which is a few blocks away. Better breakfast for same amount of money. I don't intend to stay at this hotel again, although I have spent 5-6 days there each summer for probably 4 or 5 of the last 6. It seems to be going downhill.

Easy to get around, but breakfast was not worth the money. Luckily there were many places to eat and shop within walking distance.
good value and great location to visit Northwestern University

I have stayed multiple times at this hotel, as both my children attend/have attended Northwestern Univ. Location is great, within blocks of campus. Rooms are generally clean and quiet. Did not use restaurant, as there are many great restaurants in Evanston. Front desk staff friendly. Only downside is parking lot. Little nerve-wracking to exit steep ramp blowing horn to warn pedestrians on sidewalk Son advised me to park on side street when necessary and not pay for over night parking. Can only enter hotel from level 1 of parking lot, so if first level is full, must walk with luggage, etc down flight of steps in order to check in/ out. Great location and price, as there are only two other hotels in Evanston downtown area. and they are more expensive.

A very lovely hotel, five minutes from the train to the city center. To the loop, it is about 30 minutes per train. About a 10-minute walk to Lake Michigan and restaurants and little shops are nearby. The post is within 10-minutes' walk as well.
