Good deal in San Francisco

We stayed at the Francisco bay inn earlier this month and thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this unique motel. the location is a huge plus as it is close to fisherman's wharf and also the crooked st which is a great spot for taking pictures and over seeing the surrounding san francisco hills. my family and i were treated well at reception as they were more than willing to help us with our "touristy" questions and concerns. the rooms had a good warm feeling to it and had the basic amenities that modern day travelers are used to ie. free wireless internet, continental breakfast and the biggest plus was that the hotel offered free parking which for us was great as we were able to leave our rental car at the hotel all day and walk / bus to places. if we were to come back to san francisco, we would definitely consider staying at the francisco bay inn for it's comfort and great value.

They are rude, things dont work, not worth staying

The INN is ran by a family that is extremely rude. The elevator did not work, the key lock for the room did not work unless you swiped it in a particular way. They woke us up at 5AM on our last day to tell us its time to leave and if we wanted a taxi. I have never been treated this bad. When I complained to the main person there he told me Next time do not come here! I was not going to anyway but did not say anything else since it was completely useless. Avoid this one, the comfort inn near by was about the same price. Worth the additional $10 bucks.

Exterior Good, Interior Terrible

The hotel staff was horrible. They did not listen to any of my requests. The hotel was noisy and when I asked to change rooms in an almost empty hotel they would not honor my request. The hotel was dirty and I did not feel safe there. The exterior was very nice but beware of a horrible hotel experience.

Well the location of the hotel is awesome and the staff was very pleasent. Unfortunelty the elevator is a little scary old and the bed and bedding no good.

Great Location!

Location was the key when picking out this hotel for our vacation. We were close to the golden gate bridge, lombard st, fisherman's wharf and cable cars. The hotel itself was well mainted, with free parking, breakfast and wireless internet. We were travelling with kids and had rented a car and to know that our car was safe and secure while we did the tourist thing was absolutely satisfying. We had a great time in San Francisco and the francisco bay served its purpose and if we happen to come back here for our next vacation, then we would definitely chose this hotel.
