Would stay again

Overall, this is a good hotel, with a really good location for downtown Nashville and restaurants right across the street. I was happy with the price paid. The staff was helpful, conversational and friendly. My only complaint was that when wheeling luggage to room around the steps area was narrow and if bags would have been larger we would have needed to turn them sideways to get past. Easy to find and right off the freeway. Felt safe inside and outside this hotel area, they also have camera that watch the parking lot/stairway areas.

Not great.

Good location. However the room was shabby, didn't feel particularly clean, and came with an over-powering smell of air freshener. The bedspread also had 3-4 cigarette burn holes in it - and this in a non-smoking room! And a breakfast room with 8 tables just can't cater for the residents of 150 hotel rooms.

Great staff, comfy rooms, and good breakfast

Overall, this is a great hotel, with a really good location for Vanderbilt and downtown Nashville. For the price, I couldn't have asked for more. The staff was courteous and helpful, conversational and friendly. Breakfast was much better than the typical free continental breakfast, including a make-your-own waffle station. My only complaint was that there were some wet spots in the carpet; from the smell I would presume from a recent shampooing. This was in keeping with the overall cleanliness of the hotel, another plus.

Great Value, nice staff, very satisfied!

Within walking distance to downtown, clean, comfortable recently remodeled rooms. Very friendly and accomodating staff, wonderful breakfast. Would stay here again.

Affordable and Clean

We stayed at this hotel for three nights tues-fri. The front desk people were very helpful checking in/out and recomending restaurants/services in the area. The hotel is too far from downtown to walk at night, but taking a cab costs about $7 one way and is a nice alternative to walking. There is a bar with great food and live music across the street called the Tin Roof. For a hotel in a major city the hotel was great and affordable but the area did make me slightly nervous although we didn't run into any problems.
