they first wouldnt accept my credit card for the mysterious reason that "their system just wasn't accepting it" even though they were supposed to, they overcharged my other one, hair in the shower, stiff bed, and worst of all breakfast consisted of mini doughnuts, cereal packets, oatmeal packets, on a special occasion boiled eggs, pancakes and waffles that taste like sawdust, hard danishes, with milk and o.j, so walk to the breakfast club across the street, good food, good prices, the beach is 5 minutes away if even that! 25-35 minutes to savannahs historical district. the staff was pretty nice except when they overcharged me and just wouldnt listen, the hbo is pretty basic, and the a/c crapped out on me on a very hot night and they didnt even bother to fix it! and if you have two and a half hours to dry your hair with a wall mounted hair dryer then good for you. so, if anything, it had a great location, just horrid accommodations.

Great Location

Hotel is located about 3 blocks from the beach and pier. Room was clean and staff was very friendly. There was a problem with the room charge because it was booked on line and the dates were changed and the staff corrected the room charge without any problem. Best value on the island and location speaks for itself. Everything was in easy walking distance. Breakfast was the normal stuff but a large selection.

Weekend/Holiday rate is a joke.

Paid $* one night, old hotel, block from beach, no beach view, no elevator, barking dog behind hotel. Room has close up view of the shingles on roof of drive thru for the office. (No wonder they wouldn't let us see the room before booking it...RED FLAG!!) Very few places to eat at Tybee Island. One good thing.....the fishing pier is very nice. However, we saw people catching sharks off the pier while people were swimming very closeby. That was scary. My advice...drive a little further and go to Florida.

We've stayed at this hotel everytime we've gone to Tybee which is once a year since 1998. The staff are really nice. Great continental breakfast, nice rooms for the price. We'll be back again next year!
