This was an okay hotel but we had a couple of concerns. The biggest was that the hotel site said it was minutes from the Metro. It was quite a walk to either of the nearest Metro stations. On the first day we were nearly worn out by the time we reached the train. Clearer information would have been appreciated. Our other concern was the pool. It was an indoor pool - something we were looking for in a hotel because of our young sons. The pool was in a separate area - accessed only by going outside - and it was very, very cold in the atrium like room. The pool was also very cold though they were attempting to heat it. Finally, the pool hours were odd closing early most evenings and even if the sign said it was open, the gates and door may be locked. Overall we found our room to be satisfactory though not exceptional and the staff was kind and courteous.
Construction Noice Wake Up Call

Second morning, we were awakened by 3 construction workers pounding on metal forms right behind the motel/our window. It was 7:10 a.m. so we guess any "noice ordinance" wasin applicable. It wasn't the hotel's fault, but be forewarned until the adjacent building is finished. The staff was very helpful in finding my lost cell phone (in our room) and returning it to me when I called from our next stop, 2 hours away.

The hotel was/is under construction so it looked a little shady, but my room in the tower was like new. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was afraid of parking in the garage, but parked near the main entrance; so it wasn't too bad. It's a little bit of a hike to the Metro, but doable and I felt safe in the dark. I will stay here again. FYI, mature female.
Overall bad experience

First of all, our room was in the outside area instead of the tower. The room was clean, but out-of-date. It looked nothing like the pictures. Acceptable, though. Then, the toilet barely flushed. The restaurant had awful service and the food wasn't very good. The next morning, construction on the other "wing" of the hotel started at about 6:45 am and the planes overhead were extremely loud. The fitness room had 3 machines in it and it was closed for renovation. The next morning, the shower had no hot water because the people above us were showering. I know this because I could hear their shower. The "cocktail lounge" was a small bar in the entry of the restaurant. I never saw a gift shop or tennis courts. There was high speed internet in the rooms, which was nice, and the cleaning staff did a good job. The front desk people were nice when we called an asked for extra pillows and the remote control, but the lady that brought the pillows just opened the door and walked in, which was odd. The place wasn't awful, but the pictures and description are deceptive.

This hotel was modestly priced compared to others in the same area, however service and amenities were inadequate. It has been my experience that cheaper hotels offer at least a refrigerator and microwave. This hotel did not offer that and the excuse was that I should have asked for it upon booking. They said they could not even offer me that though I was willing to pay more money for it. If you are traveling in the summer this sort of thing can cause you extreme inconvenience. Additionally, their rooms had a very bad odor coming from the ventilation. And the staff was not versed in customer service. Most of them could barely speak English. Also, breakfast is not included, but for * dollars you could pay for your own at a restaurant next door. Though this hotel offered a comfortable place to sleep and fairly convenient location next to the roselyn metro, it was not up to standard and i would not recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and standard hotel amenities or accommodations such as exercise room and refrigerators and microwaves and the sort.
