Have stayed here many times and plan on staying many more. Parking in costly ,but don't have a car for that long of time. All staff, from the bell desk, housekeeping, front desk and even maintenance are very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Deal

I returned for my second stay to the Ohana East and had a great time. Room had balcony overlooking Waikiki and was sunny and roomy. Beds comfortable and free internet access was very helpful. Loved the bath with shower and pool with free towels. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Security was apparent with the elevator requiring your room key to operate. Location is key , with all the shops and restaurants surrounding this centrally located hotel only 2 blocks from the worlds most beautiful beaches. I will definately return . Dont think twice for this price its a steal.

I have stayed twice already

Love this hotel, great great great location, right in the middle of everything, I have to admit I wasn't in the hotel room for very long on either of my trips, I was always out exploring beautiful Hawaii or on a day trip to the big island or maui. I will be staying again. My only complaint is the parking garage is so expensive but I guess that's all the hotels.

Quick/Cheap trip - ok for that

We went on a quick trip, for our first time. The front desk was friendly most of the time. The lady that checked us out was rude. We weren't told at check-in that parking was $18/day, therefore we had to pay each time we left the parking garage. There is a washeteria located in the hotel, our family members used that and was very satisfied. They also liked the pool and the bar at the pool - we never had time to go to the pool. The location of the hotel was awesome. The activities desk people were also awesome, every time. I would not recommend this hotel for anniversaries, honeymoons or relaxation. Younger couples would probably be better served. Also, to first time-travelers to Hawaii, I wouldn't go out on Waikiki Beach at night - it reminded me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. There are several awesome restaurants and tons of shopping areas, but to relax, you would need to be located somewhere else. The northshore was the prettiest area. Food was great at major hotel restaurants. The quick-meal place "Buzz's Cafe" on the lobby floor was awesome - we had breakfast there every morning - great Cafe Mocha too! The restaruant "The Round Table" has several big-screen TV's and that's the Sports Central of the hotel. that was pretty cool too. It was an overall OK experience, and our family was already in that hotel. We wouldn't stay there again, though. One last thing - the housekeeping ladies were sweet, kind and friendly - I'm glad we ran into them daily. :)

Wouldn't recommend it

My stay was actually in 2005 but I couldn't go back that far on the menu. I travel to HI every 90 days and love trying different hotels. This place was TRULY A DUMP! Paint was peeling and cracking, mold in every corner, musty smell, non-functioning heater (yes, on occassion you need the heater in HI to) I had to use steam from the shower to heat the room, and the fire alarm went off EVERY night I was there! TV didn't work and everything was VERY small, like it was made for high challenged guests. I am only writing because there were so many decent reviews, I needed to let people know my experience.
