Mixed Feelings

A great deal of money has been spent to redecorate the rooms - new carpet, new furniture, even new tile in the bathroom area. They all looked lovely and the room was very, very clean. Unfortunately, due to some structural failings, the bathroom door would not close completely and the floor was so off level and bouncy (mind you, we were on the first floor) that a drawer in the armoire would sometimes roll open if we walked in front of it.
The gap under the room door was a good two inches high. We had to lay a towel in front of it to keep out the draft. This door also had a little trouble closing and would pop open if it was not closed firmly. We thought about asking for another room, but since it met our major criteria - clean and well appointed - we decided to live with it.
The breakfast in the morning was another disappointment. A few previously frozen bagels, a pastry or two, coffee and juice. The staff was very kind and seemed a bit embarrassed about the meager breakfast and when I asked about real milk for my coffee, they produced some quickly.
Since we were just traveling through on our way home from Florida, the proximity to the highway and the cleanliness of the place will likely bring me back here to stay again.

Over all stay at the 5 Graces was the best that we have ever experienced. The staff was was more than accomadating. The meals were excellent. The room we stayed in had just been remodeled and was beautiful. Location was also excellent. We were 2 blocks from the shopping area. My wife loved it. The whole experience was better than being at home with family. Again, the staff was more like family and made us feel the same. We're headed back next year.
