I highly recommend the Affinia Dumont. The lady at the front desk who first greeted us as we walked in was very friendly and offered us a choice of a high floor with a great view! She even gave us a corner room which gave us a view out two windows. We loved it! There were three of us in the room. My sister and I shared the king bed, and my friend had the sofa bed. The bed was very comfortable and they provided us with very nice down-filled pillows. Every night as we came in, we were greeted by the doorman and the people at the front desk. We felt very safe. There was a deli nearby as well as a Thai restaurant next door. This hotel is within walking distance of the Empire State Building, and close enough to take a taxi to Broadway. I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel staff was exceptional and the room very nice. The hotel areas were all very clean and inviting. The room was well kept, however the bed was a little too firm to get very comfortable. The location was a little too far from the theater district, but if you don't mind cabbing, you'll love the place. Great restaurants and clubs within walking distance and a convenient little market just down the block for snacks and incidentals.

This is the place for a mover who wants a quite lovely place to crash where the bed is super comfortable and the linens so nice that you feel cradled to sleep. Blackout shades give a rest until your body or alarm wakes you. The location is very safe with restaurants, shopping and a Starbucks nearby, also the subway is very close. A nice piece of fruit and iced herbal tea is waiting for you when you return from your New York Adventure. Our daughter got married in the city and the staff was helpful with extra towels and the kitchen in the room made family "talk ins" in the room just marvelous. My spouse didn't want me to lodge this review because he fears the price will go up, as he has every intention of staying there next trip to the City.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. Our choice of magazines, pillows, and travel kits of Aveda products were waitiing in our room upon our arrrival. The staff was extemely helpful and there is a computer with internet access in the lobby for checking in for flights and e-mail. The room was very spacious, and the veiws incredible. The Barking Dog Cafe next door was very convenient and had a nice selection of dishes. It gave me my "doggie fix" so I didn't miss mine at home so much! All in all, a wonderful stay.

The hotel was fantastic! We were upgraded at check-in without even requesting an upgrade. The rooms were huge for NYC standards. We had a great view and the staff was very helpful, not overwhelming. I would definitely stay there again. Best hotel that I have stayed in NYC and my wife and I have very particular taste.
