Excellent Hotel

I just stayed in this hotel for four nights and highly recommend it for a trip to New York. The rooms are large and the staff is very courteous and professional. I twisted my ankle a bit and asked for ice to be delivered to the room and it was there within 5 minutes. The cleaning staff is very attentive with extra towels and toiletries. I don't think that I had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for anything that I requested. The location is very convenient for both walking and getting to the subway. I used the spa services and found them to be a little pricey but worth the money. The facial was great, the massage divine and the lavendar body scrub was the best ever. If you like spa services, definitely give them a try. Loved this hotel, the staff and the location. I will definitely go back again.

Surprisingly great!

The biggest surprise was the room size - huge! So much bigger than other NYC hotels that cost more. Even a kitchen! We had a corner room with big picture windows, which we loved. The staff was really helpful and friendly. We felt like we were in a much more expensive, luxury hotel. We walked everywhere we went, which was a little long for our 8-year-old, but he made it okay every time. This will be our first choice from now on!

A Great NYC Experience

When we needed to go to NYC to have a base while we checked out colleges in the area, we chose the Affinia Dumont because it was a four star hotel, close to Grand Central Station. It turns out it is also walking distance to the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and Times Square, plus a lot of great shopping! The hotel itself is awesome. The rooms are huge, one of the best deals on two queen sized beds in the city. It even has a full kitchen! The staff is amazingly friendly, polite and helpful. The greeting by the doorman alone was very cool! The city was packed with people on Spring break, but the hotel was always very serene and classy--treated more like a resident than a tourist. I was proud to stay there. I have already recommended the Affinia Dumont to everyone I know. What a great vacation!

When we travel to NYC we usually select lodging in New Jersey to cut down on the cost of our trip; however, this time we chose the Affinia Dumont, strictly from the photos on the web and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable, clean and we had a great view. The staff was very helpful and kind. We are planning another trip to the city this summer and will definitely choose Affinia.

This hotel was wonderful. Stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and was very surprised to have a large living room with a small kitchen very soft, comfortable bed. Hotel is very clean, staff is very friendly, fitness center has almost everything you need. The best part was the hotel was one of the cheapest hotels in midtown. It is also just a few blocks south of Grand Central Station and a few blocks east of Macy's and there are numerous places to eat within short walking distance. However this is not a large, lavish hotel like the Plaza or the Waldorf Astoria but those hotels are for those who aren't concerned about price. I would not only stay there again but I would stay there every time i go to New York. :)
