"Party Goer Haven"

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay to visit our son. It seemed reasonable and was fairly close to the University. The hotel was clean and a bit run down, but I've stayed in major chain that were in worse shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. The problems stemmed from of other visitors. The hotel is downtown, close to late night bars, the ball park, and other hotels with "party functions". Other guests may be loud, very excited, and generally not familiar with the courtesy rules that need to be followed while you are not in your own home. Our rest was disturbed multiple times at two 'clock in the morning by a group of late-nighters running up and down the hall having a good time after their party elsewhere. Since my 85 year old parent were with us, it was not a happy experience. I called security. The group quieted down after the second call and I never felt unsafe, but be warned that this may not be a restful place to stay. The breakfast bar was "OK", but I would have liked a little better than tiny muffins and prepackaged danish.

Have stayed at this hotel twice and it is very central and although basic, very clean. Excellent value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It can attract a noisy young crowd. I will stay there again.

We were very pleased with our stay, until the we went to check out. They miss communicate their check out time, told us 3:00 pm was check out and forgot to tell us about extra charges for valet parking that costed us addition money. Over all was pleased with room and staff. Others staying at other hotels had really bad experiences, so we were glad we spent less money on the nightly rate and got better service.

Catching the ball game in Cincy

Went to see the Cubs clinch division. Hotel has best location for access to the Reds and Bengal stadiums. Just a few minutes walk. Quick drive over the river to the levee shops and aquarium. lots of shops, eats, etc. nearby. Rooms are a little old, 70's style decor and a stain or two, but great views of the city with big windows. Ice machines were broken on every floor I tried (3). but does have a small fridge in each room w/no ice trays :( Felt safe, but is a downtown location. One room on our floor had looked like it had been busted into. Chain on our door was missing. Overall a great value if you want a cheaper downtown hotel near all the activities. But dont expect full service. 3rd time I have been there and will go back. Rooms are 3 time size of some hotels for the same price.

Worst Hotel Ever

This hotel has got to be the worst in the country for service. The staff was rude and unhelpful. I saw the staff pick a fight with a young man in the lobby the night I stayed there. The next morning after my friend got his car back from the valet, there was a scratch on it. The hotel refused to give him any paperwork for this, instead telling him "Trust us, we'll fix it." When he insisted on paperwork they again refused, at which point the police were called to remedy the situation. The security manager then cursed him and threatened to fight him. This was a different crew from the night before, so all the staff must be trained to fight guests. I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this one was.
