Moved to another hotel

Upon arriving we were moved to another of their hotels a block away, probably because we were staying one night and it was a holiday week, May Day. Rome was extremely crowded that day, waits for the sistene chapel were around 5 hours unless you paid extra for a tour. Which we did, still took about 2 hours. This hotel was a block from the train statiion about 5 blocks from the Colluseum. Had to take the metro to the Vatican. Very simple in Rome as there are only two main lines to travel on the metro. Lots of history and we would go back and stay longer in the future. But not during a holiday. Staff was helpful and friendly and kept our luggage all day for us to sightsee on our last day. Location was good but I would try something new next time in a different area.

Great Location Great Staff

This hotel had a very friendly staff willing to book reservations at restaurants almost every night. The location was great. No need to take a taxi from Rome Termini Train station (which has tons of airport direct trains). A bus depot is there as well, striaght shot to the Vatican on the 64 Bus. You are also within walking distance of the Coloseo and Palantino as well as blocks away from St. Maria Magigore. Downsides were that the rooms, while big, need some updating, and while rather roomy they were Spartan. Another downside was that while the breakfast staff was tremendous, the food was not so great, cold eggs and bacon, not much selection. Overall, we'd stay here again at this price.

Roof Top Garden

Awesome, quaint Roof Top Garden for dining, vino, grappa, and lemoncello. The view is magnificant. . . on the highest hill in Rome with a close view of the Colleseum and Vactican which are lighted at night -- just awesome. Never wanted to leave! Ciao

This hotel is very well located - an easy walk from the main train station, main bus station as well as a subway entrance. We were also able to walk to several historical sites. The room was adequate and the breakfast buffet was good. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful in making arrangements. They obviously wanted to be sure we enjoyed our stay in Italy.
