I am a single mom with three kids and this place was perfect. The room was a suite with a kitchen and plenty of room. the staff was excellent, my daughter got turned around and the staff stayed with her for safety. The pool was excellent they provided lifejackets for my little guys. It was a great time. I wouldnt suggest eating at the hotel it was pricey, but you are about a mile from a strip of stores and resteraunts. Also Disney was right on the other side, ten minutes away. It was great for kids. You didnt have to worry about disturbing your neighbors or your kids being loud. It was all for kids.

Wonderful experience

I would definitely stay at this hotel the next time we travel to Orlando. It was perfect for our kids! The pools were very nice. We had a very positive experience.

Our trip to Nick!

We arrived Sunday evening. At check in they told us that the rate of the bus service went up to $25 a day, it was already a ripoff at $20 a day. Then we discovered that the one pool aread would be closed the entire week. They only reason we booked our trip was to use their pool areas. We did end up getting the fee for the bus transporation waved for the entire trip due to the fact of the pool being closed. The kids loved the pool side but the water was cold. The water in the pool though was nice and warm. The show in the afternoon by the pool was fun and the kids enjoyed it. My oldest who is 8 was disappointed that the slime at the pool wasn't real slime. He comment that it was a rip off and false advertising. The shows at night were nice but I thought they were a little to late in the evening for small kids to be up. We had bunk beds and the mattresses were as hard as a stone slab. They boys ended up sleeping on the sofa sleeper which was more comfortable. I won't go back unless it's free or some terrific deal. We go every year to Disney and stay at the All Star Movies. I think I'll stick with that.

Wouldn't stay again

We just got married and decided to take my son here for the last part of our honeymoon since he has ALWAYS wanted to stay here. The room was very nice! We had the 2 room Sponge Bob Suite. My son loved it! The pool activities were great except the water was cold and down right nasty! The game room was great and like most themed resorts the food was way over priced. We rented a game for the playstation which was very reasonable at five dollars per night. The room was nice and gave us all that little bit of privacy you need sometmes. The resort fee is a bit much concidering what you pay for the room.

Great Concept, Poor Execution

Great concept, poor execution.

My family stayed in a 2 bd room Dora suite in Oct 07 and we were disappointed:

In real estate, a room has to have door to be called a bedroom-- not in hotels, I guess. Better room description is 1 bedroom 2 closet. Nice living room & bedroom. Walk-in closet converted to kids "bedroom"

Pool water was cold. Lifeguards, front desk, hotel management all had a different story. We asked for a refund on our resort fee, water warmed up the next day.

Music left on 2 hours after the pool closed. When we called the front desk, they acted like we were crazy and said it must be a loud neighbor. Security guard comes by 30+ minutes later to let us know someone forgot to turn off the (blaring) music.

11pm at night employee standing out front of our room is shouting down 2 floors to another employee on the ground level. Guy has a walkie-talkie on his hip. When politely asked to hold it down, employee apologized and loud-whispered for several more minutes until approached a second time much more aggressively-- screaming infant in tow. At a family-oriented resort, is it too much to ask that the employees not wake my kids?

Bottom line: Don't waste the money to stay here. Stay onsite at Disney for better trained staff, or stay elsewhere offsite for more space. Really a great concept but our lodging was the low point of an otherwise great Disney vacation.
