We traveled with a 2 year old and a 13 year old. Lot's of activities for both ages. The pools are definately the best feature of this hotel. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and were shocked to find no dishes or utensils in the room. We called and were told they only provide them for the 3 bedroom suites, but they would be happy to bring us up some paper plates and plastic ware. This place is huge, so depending where your room is, it could be a long walk to the pools and restaraunts. Eating there is very expensive, but everything in this area is so it wasn't too surprising. The hotel does provide shuttle service to theme parks, but I do wish we had rented a car so we could eat off site and come and go as we please and not have to wait for the bus to pick us up. Overall very happy with our stay, the pool area is fantastic.
Terrible Birthday Experience

On January 20, 2008 by phone, my family and I booked 2 rooms for my daughters 7th Birthday. At that time we were told the rooms would be next door to each other or across the hall and we paid for the rooms in advance. We then spent 4 months looking forward to spending time with each other. On Saturday May 17th we drove 3 hours to the hotel and checked in by 11am together. I spoke to the lady who checked us in and told her we requested the rooms to be together and she said she would note that. She told me the rooms were not available yet but, they would call me on my cell when they were. I asked what the room number would be and she said " she could not tell me because the rooms have not been assigned to anyone yet". As we waited for our rooms we found there was only one area that had shade from the sun by the large pool and the tables were occupied by a single party(several large black ladies told us it was for their family, likewise at the small pool the shade and tables were occupied by a girl scout party. The pools were dirty and over crowded and people were all over each other. We waited miserably until we got our call at 4pm to be told 1 room was in building 3 on the 3rd floor and the other was in building 2 on the 2nd floor. The girl helping us called to see if they could fix it and she was told no, they could offer us a free breakfast instead. The whole purpose of this trip was to be together therefore, I asked for a manager. The manager came and I explained what happened and he didn't even try to do anything about it and he asked me what I wanted. At that point I stated I wanted my money back and he responded witha nasty tone " he could not comp me a night for that mistake, that they do their best to honor our request but, they are not required to do so". I told him " I don't want a free night I wanted my money back and I wanted to go home ". Without any attempt to do anything to prevent this he gave us our money back and that was that. Ten people drove 3 hours to spend the day in an over crowded facility in the direct sun to have to turn around and drive 3 hours back home without a shower or anything on my daugther's BIRTHDAY. This was the most disappointing trip I have ever been on. The hotel has a bigger area for the catfish than the guests.

We have 3 kids ages 7,6 and 4 and this hotel is a MUST, they keep your kids entertained all day. The water park in the hotel is incredible. SUGGESTIONS: 1. Book the character breakfast its well worth it. 2. Dont purchase anything in their pricey gift shops its very expensive. 3. The food court in the hotel is very pricey, rent a car and go off the hotel grounds to McDonalds, TGIF, Bennigans, you will save a lot of money. The rooms were OK they are nothing like they appeeared on the internet they are smaller and out dated but kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. All and all I would go again we all had a great time !
Loved it

I've read a few of the other reviews to write about some of the complaints that were made. First let me say, we loved this place! But, this is a Holiday Inn so don't expect a luxury resort. If you're one of those stuck up people that expects the world to cater to you, then this place is not for you. But if you're just a simple person who can find the good in things, you'll like this place. First, it is totally geared towards kids. The atmosphere was fun. Were things pricey? Yes they were, but from my experience with traveling, that's the case no matter where you go! You don't have to eat in the hotel because there are plenty of restaurants all around. But remember, this is close to Disney so everything is going to be more expensive. The first thing my 8yr old son said was, "This is the best hotel I've stayed in!" The water slides were awesome. Beats standing in line at a waterpark for 2 hours just to feel the water. Basically, we loved it. Our room was small, but seemed clean to me. Anyway, we only slept in that room because we were outside the whole time so what did it matter? And of course they did not use real slime, it was green colored water, but it was still fun. We didn't do Disney this time, and I think my son had more fun on this trip. It was relaxing for the adults but the kids still had something to do and we didn't have to hear them whine about standing in lines!!!!! Lastly, I only stayed for a long weekend. I think a whole week here is too long and you will get bored.
dirty hotel

We stayed here hoping to find a place that was close to Disney but gave us a different experience. My son is 5 and my daughter is 18 months. The one bedroom suite was small but suitable. We had to ask for a bedspread twice because it didn't have one. The room was extremely dirty, especially the kitchen area. (My husband took a cup out of the cabinet and wiped off a good amount of dust before drinking from it). There were many items in the room that were broken, like the make-up mirror and towel holders. This was a hazard for my very curious daughter, as well as the many phone cords and others that are left out and accessible. If we had just had my son, it would have been fine. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for toddlers, unless you do a walk thru of the room first. We ordered room service the night before and I called to let them know that the order was on the door. They never came to pick it up and we ended up having to call again to order in the morning. I would assume that the hotel was just having an "off" weekend, since most people have such wonderful experiences here. But I have to say, I won't go back. I think that they put so much time and energy into their pools and activities that the room upkeep seems to come in second.
