Expensive, but worth it to the kids!

This was our second stay. Unlike the first time, we were there in high season. Big difference! The pools were packed solid with bodies, you could almost walk across the water it was so full. But the kids didn't mind! Service ranged from very good to bad, depending on whether you found an adult employee to help you, or high school/college age employees who were more interested in talking to each other than waiting on the guests. Other than a few ants in the kitchen, we don't have any big complaints--the only big inconveniences were related to delays and crowds during the busy season. Kids had a blast. Mom and Dad mostly enjoyed watching the kids.

Going back!!!!

I read so many reviews of this hotel and was looking forward to taking my 11 year old son as a surprise but was a little concerned about some of the negative reviews that I saw. We absolutely loved it! We were there during Tropical Storm Fay so the weather was not good but we quickly realized that staying at NickSuites was the best choice we could have made. On the days we had to stay in, we attended the live shows, and the 4D movies and arcade. The pool was wonderful, albeit a bit cooler temperature considering the weather. The mall had your standard foodcourt food which was fine. The room was wonderful. Having the separate rooms in the KidSuite allowed for some "Mom and Dad" time and when my husband and I decided to nap after being at the park, my son was not bored as he was able to stay occupied playing Playstation or watching Nick. The staff was excellent. We encountered a problem with our credit card (they could not find record of our credit card that they took upon check-in, which we later found was on the back of the wrong sheet of paper) but they were very nice and professional throughout. We are going back as soon as possible!

Very pleased

The staff was friendly. Our room was clean when we checked in. Each day when we returned from our outings the room was always made up and clean. The grounds and the pool areas were always clean, there were always life guards on duty and the pool areas were never too crowded. There are several activities for children including the pool areas, miniature golf, an arcade, shows, and characters that would interact with the children. There is also an area where you can feed pellets to the fish and the ducks. One evening while we were there they set up a large movie screen near the larger of the two pool areas and showed the movie "Charlottes Web". There is a variety of dining choices available as well as stores. There is a bus available to take you to the Walt Disney parks. All in all we were very pleased with our stay there. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

could be a vacation without leaving the hotel

the morning after we arrived, housekeeping tidied up the room by making the beds and fresh towels and emptying the garbage..but failed to do any of that for the next 3 mornings...the place is definitely for kids..too many kids...there was an added cost for practically everything, even to take a photo of my grandchild with sponge bob, so needless to say I didn't take one. An additional charge is automatically charged whether or not you use the pool or the transportation to a park..plus the drivers have a buket for you to tip them in addition...this is the first time I have had to pay this fee at any of the hotels I have stayed out with my grandchildren...not enough elevators , or rather they are not conveniently located

Very confusing when you arrive. Had to park, carry luggage to front desk, was told to leave with bell man until our room was ready(was not ready upon check in time)No problem with that. We took our luggage to bellman {XYZ}and was told to take our luggage back to our car he didnt have room for it. We told him that the front desk said to leave with him so he said fine I can leave it here on the ground until I have room. Then proceded to throw our luggage on the ground one on top of the other. I told him we didnt appreciate him throwing our luggage, and he said I should have taken to my car. WOW! Then our A/C went out in room, but was fixed quickly. TV didnt work for playstation no biggie was fixed next day. The BIGGIE was no hot water!! Took a while to fix and we had just gotten back from beach. GROSS. So cold shower it was. When I called and asked why it was taking so long to fix they said the repair man came to fix it and we had a do not disterub sign on the door. We werent even in the room when he said he came to fix it. We had gone to eat. WOW. Facility was nice and bartender was nice. Food was good. Just dont expect any service or help.
