Great Hotel

I've stayed here with my husband and kids and also just recently for a concert at the AllState Arena. It's a great hotel, not spectacular, but just a nice place to stay. Everything is clean, staff is friendly. the Longhorn restaurant just next door is a great place to eat or have a few drinks. Allstate Arena is nearby. We walked. Between this hotel and the Arena is a Target store and a little strip mall. We walked to the concert and back and it was perfect. There is a Starbucks nearby as well as a Mcdonalds down the street a ways and a little sub sandwich joint next to the starbucks. Gas stations nearby. It's a nice little area with everything there, perfect to stay for a night or two on your way through or for an event. And the price is not obnoxious. Workout room is small, but nice & there's a pool that was closed when we were there (too cold out!) I would recommend this. It's a nice enough place to have your kids along, too, no problem. I've stayed here a few times.

Skip the sleep number bed.

The hotel over all was a pretty good deal, for around ** but some things could have been better. When booking do not get a room with a sleep number bed, that is unless you enjoy sleeping on an air matress. Also the free highspeed internet was not free they offered a very slow speed for free and there was a charge for high speed. I also did not get a usa today on monday morning, I thought someone might have stolen mine but then noticed that no one on my floor got one either. Also shortly after checking in I heard a knock at the door and within one second before I could respond the door opened and the cleaning lady stuck her head in to catch me in my underwear. "OH sorry, sorry, I check room"

Fair to good Service, Good Hotel, Bad Bed

We stayed at the Radisson to try out the Sleep Number Bed. When we got there, due to booking online one was not reserved despite the fact we specifically booked one. The front desk guy was very accomodating and did find one for us. The room was nice, but the bed was aweful. The second day I was up at 3:30am because of it. I took my computer downstairs and tried to use the one meeting room in the front. The night auditor wouldn't let me even though no one was going to use it. If I wanted to use it, I would have to rent it. I tried to explain how it wasn't costing him anything to let me use it and I wasn't going to mess it up. I would have taken advantage of the excess capacity. So, I went to the "Business Center." 2 PC's against a wall in the lobby with no extra plugs to plug my laptop in. BTW, there was a previous post about room service trays being left out all night. I witnessed that too. A tray sat outside a room for at least 12 hours. The room was very clean. The only thing I didn't like besides the bed was the door jamb looked like someone used crow bar to get in. Not a good first impression. Got enough words to talk about the sleep number bed. This was my first and probably last experience with one. I really wanted one before the weekend. It felt worse then a waterbed. I think I got the right sleep number, but then turned over and it felt like a giant air bubble under me. My wife and I both woke up sore. The shuttle service to the airport was great except frequently late.

Good location

Good location close to O'Hare. Need to write E. Touhy Ave on the address or GPS will take you to the Pepsi Plant. Hotel was not clear that breakfast is NOT included. Got charged an outrageous price for breakfast buffet that had cold eggs and cold pancakes. Hotel did refund us though when we complained that their ads say free breakfast and the check in clerk also implied a free breakfast. Rooms were clean and updated. Package price through online travel website for flight, hotel and car was very reasonable.

Very nice hotel. The rate was outstanding. The Sleep Number bed was a treat. Staff was very responsive to our needs. Excellent location, near everything and anything you'd want. Restaurant next door was very nice, too - great food and atmosphere. Hotel restaurant had strange hours, but it didn't matter since there were so many other eateries around. We will stay there again.
