Great Hotel!

I was very impressed with the hotel. Our room was very neat, clean and had nice furniture. I walked around bearfoot many times and did not mind at all...I will never do this at most places (that's how clean the room was). The decor was classy and made me feel relaxed. The crown molding around the bedroom was an extra added nice touch. I was very happy to have had a bathroom that was in such great shape, it seemed as if it had been redone fairly recently. I liked that they did not charge extra for internet or parking. The free daily wine & cheese offerings in the afternoons were nice and made our stay even more enjoying. It also helps that the hotel provides free breakfast. The breakfast food offered was great and their coffee was pretty good.

Lovely, but not exactly what I expected.

I found the Hadsten House on one of these websites and it looked amazing! Wow! A spa and two fireplaces in the room? Huge King sized bed? Patio!? I think we found a winner. First off, the fireplaces were not real fireplaces. Yes, they gave off heat but the flames were hologram. Patio? Not at all. A chair and a table outside your motel style Inn does not constitute as a patio. The pool was mysteriously inaccessible during my visit. No clue why. Other than that, wonderfully clean rooms in walking distance of the "city fun." The little "happy hour" they provide is quite lovely. Nice small selection of wine, bread and cheeses. Various times throughout the year, they do room packages that include the free three course meal for two. Do it. Their food is incredible. Wonderful, elegant menu with quality items and preparation. The spa was incredibly relaxing. It's tucked back into the corner of the hotel. Feels nicely secluded. Everyone was quite friendly during our stay. I was just expecting MORE. It's the the kitten trying to be a lion... a motel that's just trying to be a nice 5-star hotel. Oh, just popped into my head... they play the same CD over and over and over and over through the dining hall and the front desk area. The CD was mainly in spanish. I memorized most of the songs because they played it so much. Just a thought. I'd totally stay here again. Plus, they send you really great offers via e-mail after you stay. (Maybe once every 2 months or so...)

Awesome Place / Great Customer Service

I was in town for a friends wedding and I stayed three nights at this hotel. The location is perfect. The staff was excellent and they had a wonderful, hot, complimentary breakfast each morning. My biggest rave about the place is that the staff was so friendly and accomodating. The room had a wonderful atmosphere with a fireplace. The only disappointment was that there was no outdoor pool. But the outdoor jacuzzi was really fun with lots of places to sit and visit and outdoor fireplaces. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I hope to stay there again.

Great remodel, very quaint, perfect location, great service oh and did I mention a wonderful breakfast. At first when you get there you think the set up appears to be a Motel 6 type location. I have to say I was very pleased with my entire stay there normally I am a 5 star type, I would have to say I would recommend Hadsted House.

Just retuned from a glorious trip to the "Sideways" wine country. The Hadsten House is a marvelous place to stay in Solvang. After a recent remodel, the interior and exterior are in top shape. You could see and feel the level of detail that management places in operating this property - turn down service with rose water for the pillow, full complimentary breakfast, not just boxed cereal and an apple, glass of wine in the evening, ample, delicious to-go coffee in the morning, very curteous, professional staff. I highly recomend this property. One suggestion - book early; the price really escalates as you get closer to your travel date, particularly in the high season.
