Our room was recently renovated, in the Marina Suites section. Staff was very friendly. Pools were beautiful. I used the fitness center and had a massage at the spa. We ate at the restaurants and really had a wonderful time.
Too expensive for experience

On a positive note, the room was nice with comfortable beds and a nice view of the marina. On a negative note, the shower was not clean. The concierge was not helpful at all. Be prepared to pay for everything extra such as parking, internet service, bottled water in the room. The hot tub was not working while we were there. You have to ask for a coffee maker. The water taxi to Seaworld is only available during the summer. I would only recommend this hotel if you get an excellent deal on it.
Great Hotel but parking costs extra

Parking costs extra, maybe some travelers know this, I did not. $20 for valet, $18 to park yourself. When I questioned this policy the desk clerk told me "it's california" as though that meant it was okay to charge you extra to park where you already paid to stay. I encouraged them to just include the parking in the cost of the room to avoid confusion. They were conducting fire alarm system tests during the day when we were there, but it was not that much of an inconveniance. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, they were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and the views were amazing, especially at sunset. It is within walking distance (less than a mile) from the beach. This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. With out a doubt the best staff around. I would definately stay here again.

Beautiful room w/ a lovely view of the bay.
Fitness center renovation not completed, but a free
shuttle to another facility was helpful.
Nice pools, hot tub, huge fluffy towels for pool area.
Altogether fabulous.

What a great stay! The hotel finished a major renovation just in time for our stay. They have 3 new pools and waterslides, new guest rooms with the super hyatt beds, ihomes in the rooms and the views-awesome! There?s a new spa and lounge as well. We stayed here a few years ago...It was ok but definitely needed a pick up. I can't believe the way this hotel has turned around!
