Family get away

Hotel was very nice. The hotel is not defined yet as a family welcome or a adults and couples type hotel. The sister hoter Casa Marina does a better job of family hotel. The pool man at Reach and the staff at the beach are great. Rooms were large and the hotel well kept. We rode bikes everywhere and ate at the Cuban place on the corner. We also had great food at El Ciboney about six blocks from the hotel.

good value, some advertized features missing

hotel very clean, pool and beach nice. resturant was expensive but very good food. we could not find a hot tub any where, were not offered fresh fruit at the pool as advertized, and there was a backhoe working on the beach almost all day on one of our days at the hotel. from looking around the island, this hotel is in the top ten for sure. minor issues, but the hotel management did a great job making us feel welcome,

NOT for the Luxury Traveler

We chose this hotel because it was listed as a luxury resort comparable with The Golden Door. It is NOT a luxury property; it is a multi-story motel. It's not that there is bad service, it is that there is NO service!!! No valet parking, no porter service, dial room service from the room & get an off site location for the hotel chain, keys not working for room, debris behind furniture in room, no door to bathroom in suite so upon entry from front door there's a full and open view of toilet. On the positive, great bed linens, great coffeemaker in room, great towels & robes. Fantastic marketing, but property is like a neglected Holiday Inn (apologies to Holiday Inn for the comparison). Already showing a lot of wear in carpets - not being maintained. Had lots of issues while there which the travel agent rep assisted with as best they could. Will not return even if they paid us to come back. Should NOT be listed as Platinum Level property in Luxury Resorts of the World. Needs new management & maintenance.

Wyndham Reach Hotel

The hotel was okay. For the money, I would have expected nicer - some people complained that they didn't have air-conditioning in their rooms in the 90°F heat. And it was far from the main drag - I think next time we'll stay closer to the action. I also didn't like having to walk to the Wyndham Casa Marina for breakfast. The food was great there, but I like convenience.

However, I would recommend it if you are renting a car and plan on driving around the Keys since the parking was good. Since this is what we did, it was a great fit.

We loved Key West, which was part of our honeymoon trip. I would have loved to stay here longer than 3 days. It was good to relax here and have coffee (or a cocktail) on the deck or outside while watching the sun rise or set.

Best Things Nearby:
Duval Street for shopping is a short walk, as is Mallory Square.

Best Things About the Resort:
Two pools and jet skis for rent. Great rooms and restaurant.

Resort Experience:
Right on the beach, with its long pier, The Casa Marina is a great place to relax. Nice and quiet and close to attractions, it's the perfect spot.
