Best Bed Ever Husband Says

  • December 30, 2008
  • Rated 5 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
We stayed here the first weekend in December. It looks small and the lobby isn't impressive but we were very pleased with the rooms. They were fairly new and extremely clean and fresh. We had three adults in our room and I'm in a wheelchair. I did not ask for a handicapped room but there was plenty of space to move around. The staff gave excellent service. Everytime I asked for something, they brought it right away. The best part of our stay was the beds. They were firm but very soft. I don't have muscle over my bones and rarely find a bed comfortable. These were GREAT!!! My husband said it's the best he's ever slept. The continental breakfast was very nice too. This hotel had the lowest price also. I'd say it had everything we were looking for and we'll definitely stay there again.

It was okay

Gives Super 8 a Bad Name

We usually always try to stay in a Super 8, especially when we are spending substantial time in an area. However, we will not return to this Super 8. The staff was not friendly and seemed confused half the time. The whole place smelled like smoke -- except for the strong flowery air freshner that they used -- I assume trying to cover up the smoke smell. The back door was not secure at night. Overall, it was not a good experience for us.

Cheap, but use only as a last resort

Booked through online travel website- Failed to meet even my low expectations. Bad Parts: Room smelled musty / bad. The hallway was smoke filled. Furniture and bed looked liked they'd been there for 20 years. Continental breakfast was bad. Muffins were still partially frozen and doughnuts were slimy from being frozen and dethawed. Good parts: Bathroom was clean. Staff had all paperwork ready to go - made check in and check out very easy.

cheap

The price was right, east access to the freway, close to El Azteca restraunt. Rooms were smokey, towels smelled, complimentary soap was cheap, and the cream for coffee was spoiled.
