A charming place to stay

My husband and I have stayed at the Villa Capril by the Sea on numerous occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves each and every time. This is a small and quaint property that is beening kept in excellent condition. The rooms are spotless, especially the bathrooms. Some of the rooms are suites and the kitchens are fully stocked with dishes, cookware, silverware, etc. These rooms are excellent for families. Parking is provided, which a lot of the hotels on the island do not offer.
This motel is located across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado so you have easy access to the beach and the shops at The Del. There are also several restaurants within walking distance.
John (the innkeeper) is great source of knowledge about the history of the motel and the island. He is also an excellent concierge. He'll make dinner reservations, provide games for the children, has beach equipment, and will give recommendations on the various activities in the San Diego area. Since this is a smaller motel he has the opportunity to get to know his guests on a personal basis, if they so choose.
My husband and I, and the couple we usually travel with, willl not stay anywhere else on the island. We absolutely adore John and the Villa Capri by the Sea. It's our home away from home when we're in San Diego.
